Intech supplied an energy container to power a remote horse ranch that operates completely off-grid. This solution offers the customer a 100% self-sufficient energy supply, free of grid charges and independent of rising electricity prices.
The energy container proved to be a more cost-effective alternative to a grid connection for the ranch, which consists of a residential building, two stables for 32 horses, an indoor riding arena and a horse walker.
The system also supplies a well and filtration system.
The photovoltaic system, with a total output of 45 kWp, was installed on the roof of a stable facing east-west and on three façades of the indoor riding arena. The glass-glass modules provide wind and solar protection for the riding arena while still allowing sufficient light to pass through.
The 20-foot container is equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery and a backup generator. Online monitoring gives the customer access to all relevant operating data at all times.
