Planning, Installation, and Commissioning
In the summer of 2021, Intech delivered a floating photovoltaic (PV) system to a customer in Hesse, Germany.
The system consists of 635 floaters, supporting 409 solar modules. Additional Intech floaters without PV modules were strategically arranged around the perimeter of the PV field. This design shields the entire water surface from direct sunlight, helping to reduce algae growth and improve water quality.
The floating PV system covers a total area of 2,100 square meters. It enables the customer to efficiently utilize unused water surfaces to generate sustainable energy while simultaneously contributing to water conservation.
The installation has a total capacity of 135 kWp. Thanks to integrated walkways, the system remains easily accessible, allowing for straightforward maintenance and cleaning.
Key Features:
- Extensive floater construction providing shade to the water surface and preventing algae growth
- Dual use of water surfaces for both energy generation and water protection
- Integrated walkways for convenient maintenance and cleaning
- High area efficiency while preserving water quality
