Planning, installation, commissioning
The customer from Saarwellingen, Germany, needed a more efficient solution for irrigating his 10-hectare orchards. Previously, a PTO pump was used on a tractor, which had to be started, stopped and refuelled manually.
He therefore opted for a more sustainable and practical option with a floating solar system.
16 floating modules with a total output of 5.3 kWp were installed on the farm‘s pond. This solar pump now reliably supplies the plantations with water. The modules are easy to maintain as they remain accessible on the floats and the 15° inclination of the panels also prevents the accumulation of snow. The floating system keeps arable land free for cultivation, reduces natural water evaporation and improves the energy yield of the modules through natural cooling.
Thanks to the conversion, the customer is now independent of fossil fuels and benefits from a cost-efficient, ecological energy source.
Special features:
- Power for an ecological solar pump
- Simple integration into small pond systems
- Automatic pump control (replaces tractor with PTO pump)
- Reduction of water evaporation
- Used to irrigate a cultivation area of 10 ha
- Cost-effective and sustainable in the long term
