Gravel extraction areas are ideally suited for the installation of floating photovoltaic systems. Renewable energy can be generated on the otherwise unused water surface.
Since October, Intech has been installing a floating PV system on the Waldsee lake near Speyer. The installation consists of 2527 floats, 2272 solar panels and 7 inverters and covers an area of approximately 8,000 m². The first construction phase which is south-oriented has a total output of 750 kWp.
The inverters as well as the plant monitoring are located in a technical container to enable a safe operation of the plant.
We are looking forward to putting the installation into operation in the upcoming weeks.
